My ability to create art is enhanced by music that is meditative in nature. Many of the instruments I listen to when I paint, originated with the shamans of indigenous cultures. The kobyz reminds me of the Mongolian matouqin. The instrument has two strings. It is the droning technique, of drawing the bow across two strings at the same time, that reaches my soul and brings my art to another level.
